Ford’s latest revolution of the auto industry developed into the building of Blue Oval City in Stanton, Tennessee. For the new state-of-the-art Paint Shop, Slifco Electric was instrumental in the construction of this brand new 600,000 square foot facility. The scope of the project included the installation of a complete power system, with extra consideration for managing paint systems and air flow. Over 1,600 feet of bus duct was installed as a critical installation, with over 245,000 feet of wire pulled throughout the building. Power from five newly installed substations was supplied by 2,600’ of cable tray, with almost 20,000’ of tray cable.

In addition, a new fire alarm system was installed including 60,000 feet of fire alarm cable and 300 devices, providing the necessary fire safety for the facility. And last but certainly not least, finishing touches included 1700 new light fixtures were supplied by over 58,000 feet of modular wiring.

The scope of this project was expansive, highlighting Slifco Electric’s ability to provide any type of a wide range of electrical installations. Able to adapt to any challenge in the field, Slifco Electric was able to guarantee that seismic engineering was incorporated to meet all necessary installation requirements.
