In 2021, Toyota selected the 1800-acre site in Liberty, North Carolina to develop its North American electric vehicle battery manufacturing center of excellence. Slifco Electric was then selected as an essential team member based on past projects with Toyota and exceptional expertise in the industrial automotive market. Slifco Electric is a key player in the construction of this world class battery manufacturing plant.

After being selected as a leading Electrical Contractor in early 2023, Slifco set out to assemble and develop a team of professionals with a wide range of deep-rooted experience and expertise. Due to the early stages of EV battery manufacturing, the project is constantly changing and evolving throughout the construction phases. Therefore, the Slifco team is continually and successfully adapting to revisions of the project requirements. Project goals are met on time and with 100% customer satisfaction.

Installation includes over 14 miles of cable tray, supporting over 40 miles of conduit and wire. Millions of hours will be invested in detailed attention to development and effective construction. This will include over 735 employees to bring this world-class project to life.
