Project Details

Slifco Electric was chosen as the primary electrical contractor for the Allison Hybrid Transmission Plant in Baltimore, Maryland. The project was a great example of planning and coordination, as it required electric installation of a new addition while the existing facility was in full operation.

Scope of work included installation of 750 feet of 42-inch cable tray with eight 3/C 500-mcm tray cable from existing substation to the new addition. Along with 320 feet of new 800 amp bus duct, electrical upgrades were also applied to the existing facility. The end product was a successful renovation of all electrical systems throughout the site.

Slifco Electric was awarded “Superior Contractor” for outstanding safety performance for the duration of the project.
