Slifco Electric was contracted to install an underground conduit raceway system in the Cold Mill in Dearborn, Michigan. This was a detailed and essential project, as the power installed was necessary for motors operating steel galvanizing line equipment throughout the facility.

This project required extreme care in regard to materials involved in the production line and the amount of power required for the acid wash system, steel trim system, and galvanizing bath. As well, Slifco Electric was under tight scheduling constraints due to the necessity to install a temporary 13,800-volt transformer, primary switch and distribution center, which also required splicing a 13,800-volt cable. Along with other contractors and heavy equipment, safety was the highlight. Detailing a project specific site-wide safety plan, Slifco Electric’s safety policies were adopted by the rest of the contractors on site.

The project was a success and completed on time. Thanks to all team members at every level detailing communication and coordination, 100% client satisfaction was achieved.
